An existential Press
approach
- what does "existential" mean in this context?
We live in a society in which
"there are no objective standards or rules to which persons can turn for answers
to problems of choice, for different standards supply conflicting advice... the
individual must decide." [Ivan Soll, World Book
Encyclopaedia.1970] Existentialists
conclude that human choice is subjective because individuals must choose without
help from external standards -- which is what makes each individual free; but
because of this freedom each individual is responsible for their choices.
Freedom is accompanied by responsibility.
On this website each person is
able to make their own choice, write what they like -- but not make attacks on
others (as we choose to be responsible for providing this vehicle) -- and are
responsible for the outcome of any decision they make as it impacts on them.
